Role Overview:
As a Volunteer Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating and planning our volunteers for our in-person events. This position is perfect for someone with a flexible schedule who can do occasional computer work from home at their leisure, and has a desire to make a meaningful impact in their local community. Most work can be done remotely when your schedule allows. Most Carolina Cares team meetings occur over Zoom , with occasional in-person involvement for events. Even if you are not able to attend all of the events, your work in advance to coordinate volunteers is needed.
Carolina Cares hosts a total of 15 in-person events per year that require volunteers:

Monthly pop-up food and hygiene pantries (except December)

Back-to-school supplies giveaway in August

Halloween costume giveaway in October

Halloween trunk-or-treat event in October

Holiday toy, gift, and coat giveaway in December

Volunteer Coordinator Key Responsibilities:

Track, review, and record incoming volunteer registrations
-
Coordinate volunteers for events to ensure proper coverage
-
Schedule and communicate volunteer shifts and responsibilities
-
Maintain volunteer records and ensure proper training and paperwork has been fulfilled
-
Assist with planning and executing volunteer-driven initiatives
-
Foster a positive, supportive environment for all volunteers

Role Overview:
As a Fundraising Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating and communication with people, businesses, and organizations that are fundraising with proceeds coming to Carolina Cares. This role will not be assisting with the planning or execution of their fundraising events, nor will this role be responsible for fundraising on behalf of Carolina Cares.
This role will be responsible to responding to inquiries about Carolina Cares, answering questions about the organization, and essentially being the bridge between Carolina Cares and the person who is fundraising with Carolina Cares as the recipient. Examples include businesses, families, neighborhood associations, or friend groups. This role will work closely with the Executive Director and communicate as needed.

Role Overview:
As a Spokesperson, you will be a trusted face and voice of Carolina Cares, and represent Carolina Cares with media outlets, in publicized videos and advertisements, and at community events. You will help shape our public image, increase awareness, and foster relationships with key stakeholders. You will be given the appropriate background information and scripts in advance, and will not have to undertake heavy research on your own. This role will work closely with the Executive Director and communicate as needed with the Development Board.
This position is perfect for someone who has a desire to make a meaningful impact in their local community and can do occasional work around their existing schedule. Most Carolina Cares team meetings occur over Zoom, with occasional in-person involvement for events which are scheduled weeks in advance. This is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to gain more experience in Communications and Public Relations, and have real world reels in their portfolio.

We are seeking a creative and motivated Graphic Designer to assist with our marketing and outreach efforts. This unpaid, part-time role is ideal for individuals looking to build their portfolio while making a meaningful impact in the community. You will create visuals for social media, website content, newsletters, and promotional materials to help us tell our story. You will help shape our public image and increase awareness.

​This position is perfect for someone with a flexible schedule who can do occasional computer work from home at their leisure, and has a desire to make a meaningful impact in their local community. All work can be done remotely when your schedule allows. This would be ideal for an experienced Graphic Designer who wants to spend minimal time while still giving back with a large impact, or a student or novice who wants to learn and grow in the role.

You will be given the appropriate background information and information in advance to complete the graphics on your timeline, and will not have to undertake heavy research on your own. This role will work closely with the Executive Director and communicate as needed.
